Gives small workshops affordable insight into how much their existing machines actually run, upgrading old equipment without replacing it (targets 9.2 and 9.3).
Safety notes
- Mount only on stationary, external surfaces away from moving parts, belts, chucks and swarf; never mount on a spindle or guard that moves.
- Do not connect to machine wiring or mains; this design is vibration-only by intent.
- Tell operators what is measured; it logs machine state, not people.

Summary
Stick it on a lathe, drill press or sewing machine: it detects when the machine is running from vibration and reports hours, starts and idle gaps per shift. No electrical connection to the machine at all.
