Life Below Water is about conserving oceans, seas and marine resources and reducing pollution that reaches them. Makers can build sensing buoys and loggers for lakes, rivers and coasts, testing carefully and leaving nothing behind in the water.
Lets students monitor temperature and turbidity in a lake, backwater or harbour edge, the kind of local data that supports reducing water pollution (target 14.1).
Lets students and volunteer groups sample and count microplastics on beaches and riverbanks, building local evidence on marine litter (target 14.1).
