Sustainable Development Goal 1
Ending poverty depends partly on people having affordable, repairable tools to earn a living. Makers can design affordable equipment for small and home businesses that can be built and fixed locally with open designs.
A repairable, low-cost scale helps home food and craft sellers portion, cost and price goods consistently, protecting thin margins.
A sturdy, repairable stall a carpenter can recut from open files helps street vendors work from a better, movable setup without costly fabricated carts.
